Brendan is proficient in all guitar styles from classical, flamenco, jazz and blues to rock and metal. An 9 year teaching veteran in KC he is well versed in theory and composition. He currently studies classical guitar performance with Doug Niedt at UMKC and private studies with Rod Fleeman.

BRENDAN'S BIO
Brendan Bondurant has been actively performing in the midwest since 2004, in prestigious venues such as the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art.
In 2011 he graduated with a Bachelors of Music in guitar performance from the Conservatory of Music and Dance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
At UMKC he was the recipient of the Greensburg Guitar Scholarship, studying under virtuoso guitarist Douglas Niedt.
Aside from performing traditional solo classical guitar repertoire, Brendan is involved in multiple chamber music ensembles such as the new music ensemble, Musica Nova.
He has also performed with the UMKC Wind Symphony, under the direction of Steven Davis. At the 2009 Electro-Acoustic Juke Joint Festival, Brendan performed the American debut of Jacob Gotlib’s Gravity’s Self Portrait, a piece for guitar and pre-recorded electronics.
Brendan also has an active interest in jazz guitar, studying with world renowned Kansas City jazz guitarist, Rod Fleeman. To supplement his classical and jazz studies, Brendan studies Flamenco with guitarist Beau Bledsoe at the Manos Rojas School of Flamenco Music and Dance in Kansas City, Missouri.
To further his knowledge of Flamenco Guitar, Brendan traveled to Southern Spain in the summer of 2011, to study with renowned Flamenco guitarist Antonio Andrade in Andalucía and the Maestro Enrique Vargas in Madrid.
